The mornings are getting lighter, the sea is starting to warm up and the jellyfish haven't yet arrived.
It's time to come out of hibernation.
We will be having our traditional winter get together at the Northcote Tavern (lounge bar) next Tuesday, 29 August, from 6.30pm.
Come along for a drink or a bite or both, and catch up with your swim buddies.
It's the usual deal: arrive when you like, order what and when you like. The pub knows we will be coming, but isn't able to reserve tables. I will call them the day before to remind them, so if there's any change to plans, I will post it here.
And for something a bit different... Feel free to bring along any pre-loved books that you've enjoyed and you may like to swap with your fellow swimmers, for those chilly evenings and afternoons on the sofa or your next flight. Maybe write your name inside the front cover if you want to loan rather than give away your book.
No need to RSVP, but it will be lovely to hear from you if you do.
