Things were a little auspicious as we entered the water at Island Bay boat ramp. The water was cool, browner than bluer, and the boats had already started to point into the tide.
But what a lovely swim we had. Only the guns managed to get to Beach Haven wharf. The rest of us all turned after 40 minutes uphill, and had a lovely push home by the outgoing tide.
We gathered for post-swim coffees, teas and treats at Garth's place. Garth did a speech, about how Nellie was with us in sprit and then moved on to showcase the Masters Games 'athletes', asking us all about our aspirations and prospects.
A fabulous swim. Thank you Garth for suggesting it and hosting us.
