Good Friday consolation swim

Marieke Van Zon and I have planned  a consolation swim on Good Friday and we would be most pleased if any of the disappointees of the Original Swim would join us.
Details in no particular order:
Starting at Island Bay Rd dinghy ramp, indoor toilets and outdoor shower, free parking
Assemble from 8 45 am, start at 9 am.
Swim with tide to or towards Beach Haven wharf 2.5 km. See attachment.
High tide 3.1 m at 9 32 at city, 9 40 am at Beach Haven
Those who have not reached the wharf by 9 40 am e.g. Garth will be required to turn around and swim back to the Island Bay dinghy ramp.
After the swim walk up Island Bay Rd to # 130, my place (Judy is cycling in Japan), for hot showers and the usual Good Friday swim "show". A loudspeaker is available but if you bring what you usually bring that would nice too.
The swim course is 100% sheltered from easterly/northerly winds and as the shortest route is never more than 100 m from shore no safety craft will be required. Nor will any boating channels be crossed.
For supporters one sit on windsurfer is available or you can bring your own kayak.
Those who have entered the World Masters Games 5 km open water swim may like to extend themselves by swimming a further 1 km to the Upper Harbour Bridge pier but that does cross a boating channel.
Marieke and I will be swimming rain, hail or snow.

Garth
