Greetings another ‘short week’ over!!!

TOMORROW - Anyone doing this swim?? I’m NOT!!! Decided I couldn’t get enthused enough to enter!!
BEAN ROCK IN MISSION BAY
Sat 11 Feb 2017 - Mission Bay - 1.6 or 3.2k options 8.00am swim 
I know there is a group swimming as usual at Takapuna 8.00 am, not sure whether I’ll get over this weekend???

This for many is Auckland’s REAL iconic swim (aye Peter J?)

Sponsored by Chelsea, this is your first real open water swim across the Harbour. Afterwards you can picnic in the grounds of the Chelsea sugar refinery

When and where
Date: Sunday 26 February 2017  

Assemble: 6:15 am Pt Erin Park (by the Pool), Herne Bay
Start time: 7:30 am
Tide: 8:09 am
Nominal cut-off time: 1.5 hrs

Prize giving: Chelsea refinery, 60 Colonial Road, Birkenhead

The course

From Masefield Beach (bottom of Curran St) to the Chelsea Sugar Refinery. Total distance is 2.4Km

If anyone knows of swims happening around the area, i.e. not major sponsored swims let me know so I can circulate.

Those of us who did the Takapuna to Narrowneck swim last week had a ball with near perfect conditions.
