laced with rum before the soldiers resumed battle in the morning.”
What a great way to commemorate ANZAC day. A Gunfire
Breakfast followed by an Adventure Swim.
Details are:
Monday 25th April.
Meet Takapuna Toilet Block for a 7:30am
departure.
Car shuffle to Milford Toilet Block.
Gunfire breakfast provided and served.
In the sea around 7:50am.
May send an advance party of faster swimmers
as a decoy!
First landing – Thorne’s bay (watch out for
possible Turks!)
Second landing – Triangle at Takapuna beach
Third landing (optional) – Clifton Road.
Other important info:

High tide 9:28am
·
Red swim caps to be worn (pls bring extra red caps if you have them).
Red as in Poppies!!

Road closures from the Strand to the Library
and South on Lake Road from 9:00am. Parking at the Toilet Block and surrounds
will be fine at the time we will be there.

No kayakers provided but any supporters on or
off the water most welcome.
·
Contingency – make it up on the day.
