No Longer Hellespont Dreaming

I was all excited about the Hellespont swim until I checked the details. Sort of imagining it was a local Turkish Swim club organising this, I found out that non-Turks can only enter via the British company Swim Trek. If you are a Pom, the package deals are not so bad (flights, three nights accommodation, dinner and swim), but if you just want to enter the swim the cost is Euro340!. $750 to swim 4 km, I think not! The Hellespont can go to hell...... Thats that price of a short holiday in Fiji and I think I know which I prefer.
