I wondered why I was getting odd texts and emails from all sorts of people (including my boss) saying things like "Are you OK?", "Everything all right?", "How's things?" . Wrapped in the warm glow of general caring, I then read later that a male swimmer "in his 50s" died on the swim yesterday. Clearly those caring folk thought it might be me! Why that would be I can't think.
We knew you'd be ok Peter, after checking in on your birthday swim to Cable Buoy. You can assure your family and friends we won't let it happen on our watch.
