HADYN’S INVITE

Hadyn has offered us a special deal again this year to all of his swims @ $20 a pop (regular price $35). 2 of the dates clash if you’re doing the out-of-town ocean series swims. If you’re not then maybe these’ll be an alternative? Entries need to be done via me, cash up front within a week of start time. Book and pay on Saturday’s @ Takapuna or Thursday’s @ The Teps

Rats Is. Double Sat 14Nov09 - 2.8km RACE 8.00am - assemble @ 7.00am
A fun but potentially difficult 2.8k ocean race from Masefield's Beach out to Rats Island (Watchman's Island) and back twice. A one lap 1.4k option is also available. There is a cut off of 50mins to halfway. Aim - build up to the Harbour Crossing on 21Nov.

Kohi Boomerang Sat 12Dec09 - 3.2k RACE 8.00am - assemble @ 7.00am
An easy ocean race from Mission Bay out to the 5knot markers then across to the middle of Kohi Beach and Back. There is a cut off of 50’ to halfway.

Bean Rock Sat 30Jan10 - 3.0k RACE 8.00am - assemble @ 7.00am
A soon to become iconic race! Starting from Mission Bay you will swim due north towards the largest shipping marker in the Waitemata Harbour - Bean Rock. Rounding the lighthouse you then retrace your strokes back to the beach. There is a halfway cut off of 50’.

Kellys Pier Race Sat 13Mar10 - 3.0k RACE 8.00am - assemble @ 7.00am
A challenging race over a tide affected course. The gun goes at Mission Bay and you head out past Tamaki Yacht towards the Pier at Kelly Tarltons then return over the same course. There is a cut off of 60’ to halfway. Aim - build you up to the Rangi Swim on 21Mar.

KOBs Race Sim Sat 10Apr10 - 2.8k RACE 8.00am - assemble @ 7.00am
A complete course race simulation for the King of the Bays. Starts at Milford Beach, and follows along the coastline to Takapuna Beach. Car-pooling may be needed to return to Milford. There is a cut off of 50’ to halfway. Aim - build you up to the King of the Bays on 17April.
