Cathy has been kind enough to investigate and book accommodation for us at Paihia.
Saltwater lodge is an upmarket backpackers lodge www.saltwaterlodge.co.nz
They offer dorm as well as double rooms and even a barbque area.
Cathy has reserved us 4 x 4 person rooms with ensuites, these need to be confirmed by end of the month. Cost $28 pp per night.
Swim date: Saturday 12th December.
I'm planning to make a weekend of it and stay both Friday and Saturday nights. Kevin was making similar murmurings and Jo has already booked elsewhere for both nights.
There are a variety of activities to do in the area. Maybe a kayak trip on Sunday morning?
Or a bike ride?
