With all the exciting posts on the blog, my news seems a bit ordinary. Anyway......

Some of you might remember Peter Staples, tall dark Pommy guy who used to swim a lot on Saturday mornings, though he wasn't around last season. Pete was one of the guys in the NZ team that just rowed across the Indian Ocean in 81 days. Amazing feat and Pete was on rowing duty when they capsized and lost all their communication for several days. He was always a good swimmer so now we know what he was doing this past year.

By the way does anyone have a good photo of our group having a good time at Massimo?

And finally went for a swim on the way home last night at the Birkenhead pool. The water was warm and the air was cold creating steam so thick that you couldn't see the end of the pool. Just three people there... Beautiful!!
